Appystrano, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the FamPass mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
By using FamPass, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect a limited amount of information to provide and improve our service. The information we collect includes:
- Apple ID Email Address. When you sign in with Apple, we receive the email address associated with your Apple ID (or the private relay address you choose to share). This is used solely to identify your account.
- Display Name. You may provide a display name for your profile within the App. This is optional and can be changed at any time.
- Favorite Events. When you save or favorite events within the App, we store these preferences to your account so they are accessible across your devices.
- Metro Area Preference. You select a metro area to receive relevant local event recommendations. This preference is stored with your account.
- Location Data. With your permission, the App uses Apple CoreLocation to detect your approximate metro area for initial setup. We do not continuously track your location, and precise location data is not stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Personalize Event Recommendations. Your metro area preference and favorite events help us show you relevant family-friendly events in your area.
- Account Management. Your Apple ID email and display name are used to maintain your account and enable sign-in across devices.
- Subscription Management. We use your account information to manage your subscription status and provide access to premium features.
- Service Improvement. We may use aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns to improve the App experience.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Apple infrastructure:
- Apple CloudKit. Your account data, preferences, and favorites are stored in Apple CloudKit, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. Data is stored in accordance with Apple's security standards.
- Apple Keychain. Authentication tokens and sensitive credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-level encryption on your device.
- On-Device Processing. Location detection is performed on your device using Apple CoreLocation. Raw location data is not transmitted to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements and are not subject to AdMob data collection.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any other third parties.
5. Children's Privacy
FamPass is designed for parents and caregivers to discover family-friendly events. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at dev@fampass.io and we will promptly delete such information.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" option in the App settings.
- Contacting us at dev@fampass.io.
Upon account deletion, all personal data associated with your account (including your email, display name, favorites, and preferences) will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- The right to request deletion of your data.
- The right to data portability.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
